Environment & Facilities

Facilities within the reserve include public toilets, they are located some distance away from the activity base.

The reserve features a variety of native vegetation and wildlife, including snakes.
Purpose & Program Overview

A chance to re-connect with scouts for 2026 and to gain canoeing and sailing experiance.

Planned activities: Canoeing, sailing and swimming

Participants are to reimain on site alt all times
Supervision & Attendance
-
All cubs and Parents/Guardians who are members of 3rd Orange Scouts may attend.

Adults who are attending must have a valid WWCC, police check & membership registration.
Health, Safety & Hygiene

Participants should not attend if they are unwell or showing symptoms of illness.

Participants may be sent home if they become unwell during the event.
Behaviour & Participation Expectations

This event will be using the patrol system and buddy system.

Participants are required to stay with the group, with the exception of needing to use the amentiies, in this situation, they must go with a buddy and ensure that the patrol leader is aware of their whereabouts.

Participants may be asked to leave in the case of non-compliance.
Equipment & Clothing
Participants must bring:
Scouts to come dressed in:
Swimmers
T-shirt or rashie
Hat
Water shoes or other enclosed shoes eg. joggers NO CROCS
**IF SHOES ARE NOT WORN SCOUTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SWIMMING AND BOATING ACTIVITIES.**
What to bring:
Sunscreen
Towel
Change of clothes
Water bottle
Dry shoes
Food - Snacks
OAS and Section books- There may an opportunity to do some badgework.
Participants must NOT bring:
Responsibility for personal items is the sole responsibilty of the participant and/or their parent/guardian. Under no circumstances will Leaders be responsibile for safe keeping, loss or damage to items.
Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please advise the activity co-ordinator if you are unable to attend on the day, if you are aware of this before the event day, please withdraw from this event by using the withdraw feature.
