Meet at 17:30 on the corner Boree rd and Cargo rd (Lidster RFS). https://maps.app.goo.gl/6dFJj4L6v1FeGKUV6?g_st=ic

We will then drive to the start of the trail together. Pick up will be at Lidster RFS at 19:30.

For Scouts not wanting to ride there will be an alternate activity at this location. 


Environment & Facilities

  • No facilities within the reserve

  • The reserve features a variety of native vegetation and wildlife, including snakes.

Purpose & Program Overview

  • Provide opportunities for Scouts to develop a love of mountain biking and basic off road cycling skills development.

  • Bushcraft/ bushwalking activities may occur if some scouts do not wish to ride.

  • Participants are to remain on site at all times

Supervision & Attendance

  • All scouts and scout-age youth may attend, and must have a temporary membership.

  • Adults attending must have a valid WWCC, a police check & membership registration.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Participants should not attend if they are unwell or showing symptoms of illness.

  • Participants may be sent home if they become unwell during the event.

Behaviour & Participation Expectations

  • This event will be using the patrol system and buddy system.

  • Participants are required to stay with the group.

  • Participants may be asked to leave in the case of non-compliance.

Equipment & Clothing

Participants must bring:

Scouts to come dressed in:

Appropriate bike riding clothing, enclosed shoes, helmet.

What to bring:

Sunscreen 

Lights for front and back of bike (NOT attached to helmet)

First aid kit

Food - Snacks

Water bottle

OAS and Section books- There may an opportunity to do some badgework.

Participants must NOT bring:

Responsibility for personal items is the sole responsibilty of the participant and/or their parent/guardian. Under no circumstances will Leaders be responsibile for safe keeping, loss or damage to items.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Please advise the activity co-ordinator if you are unable to attend on the day, if you are aware of this before the event day, please withdraw from this event by using the withdraw feature.
