Meet at the main camp area at the top of the hill above the buildings.

Activity cost

$50 to cover food and abseiling gear.

We will arrange a menu with the scouts before the event and will probably need the help of a parent to collect the food.

Environment & Facilities

  • No access to power

  • Toilets on site

Purpose & Program Overview

  • Fun scout camp with groups from around the region. It will provide youth with some more camping experience and a opertunity to catch up with or make friends with other scouts in the region. The program will be fairly relaxed, however there will be Abseiling on the wall on saturday for the youth that are interested.

Supervision & Attendance

  • Attendees are permitted to leave site with a parent/ guardian if prearranged with the scout leaders prior to the event. If not prearranged, participants will need to remain on site at all times.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • If unwell, please stay home. If you become unwell during the event, you may be sent home.

Behaviour & Participation Expectations

  • Everyone will be required to wear sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, and a hat to participate in activities.

  • Everyone will be expected to follow the Promise and Law
  • We will be camping as a group in a designated area. We will operate using the buddy system and Patrol system. 

Equipment & Clothing

Participants must bring:

-Pack from the light weight camp side of your packing list. 

Note: it may be cold and wet so appropriate clothing is a must, ensure that your scout comes with, Jumper, Raincoat, Beanie, Thermals if they have them, a spare pair of shoes. The scouts wont be carrying their bags very far at all so pack heaps of warm gear.

 

- No thongs, singlets, skirts, dresses etc

- Outdoor Adventure Skills book and Section book and pencil

- Other handy stuff: Compass, small notepad, etc (If you don't have a compass, we will be taking some from the hall)

 

Participants must NOT bring:

DO NOT bring multi tools or pocket knives unless stage 4 bushcraft has been obtained. 

Responsibility for personal items:

Any items brought to the event are the sole responsibility of the participant and/ or their parent/ guardian. Under no circumstances will the leader be responsible for loss or damage of these items.
