3rd Orange “Vennies” welcome young people from their 15th birthday to their 18th birthday. Venturers are given the opportunity to plan and run their own activities, supported by leaders qualified in adventurous activities and backed by amazing Scout resources across the region, state, country, and even the world.
Caving, canoeing, camping, hiking, and abseiling are a big part of the Venturer program, along with more relaxed activities such as volunteering at events, movie nights, running activities with the younger sections, and completing challenges they set for themselves. Want to try something different? Your leaders can probably make it happen.
Our Venturer Scouts may have been in Scouting for years or might be new to Scouting. Venturers support each other and make sure no one gets left out, regardless of their ability or experience level.
When they turn 18, Venturers can begin linking into Rovers, where they will continue their Scouting journey in our oldest youth section.
Venturers generally meet at our hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
